QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

General Schedule SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:Experience with laws, principles, and concepts to provide a full range of HR support activities and technical projects. Experience in assisting management and employees regarding various HR programs. Experience with office automation applications, databases, online resources, clerical procedures, maintaining files.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction.One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.Must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (or equivalent).Ability to communicate orally and in writing.GS-06 and above: One year of experience directly related to the occupation and equivalent to the next lower grade level. Education is not creditable, however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

Human Resources Assistant (Military)

MAJOR DUTIES:

Analyze training requests for completeness and to insure compliance with regulatory guidance and DA policy. Use ARPERCEN Orders and Resource system to assist in determining soldier qualifications and availability to perform the requested mission. Coordinate with USARC, OCAR, FORSCOM, Joint Task Force Six, and other outside agencies and commands to gather additional information when needed and to secure additional funding when needed. Determine the type of order to be processed. Assigns a requirement request number by identifying the correct command code, installation code, funding code, training site code, and the training type. Initiates request to create a new training site code if there is no training site code for the location. Review availability of funding prior to the order being released. Advise the requesting agency when a request does not appear to meet regulatory or legal requirements. Monitor the status of funds and coordinates with outside agencies to secure funding.
